Freeport has gone 9-1 against Ponce De Leon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Bulldogs will face off against the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Freeport came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-2 to South Walton. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Ponce De Leon's offense. They came up short against Cottondale on Tuesday, falling 9-0.

Ponce De Leon dropped their record down to 4-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Freeport, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Freeport was able to grind out a solid victory over Ponce De Leon in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 10-5. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
