Football Recap: Lincoln County Piles Up the Points Against Randolph-Clay

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lincoln County had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past Randolph-Clay, posting a 43-6 victory. Lincoln County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by 25 points or more this season.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Christian Elam and Aiden Jones. Elam rushed for 79 yards and one score on only five carries while Jones rushed for 44 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those 79 rushing yards gave Elam a new career-high.

Lincoln County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 301 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 228 rushing yards in ten consecutive contests.

Lincoln County pushed their record up to 11-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.2 points over those games. As for Randolph-Clay, they now have a losing record of 4-5-1.

Coming up, Lincoln County will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hawkinsville at 7:30 p.m. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Kelby Glaze and Martin Mcdonald. Randolph-Clay does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
