League recap: Pinner throws longest pass in league this season for Roberson

Reggie Pinner and Marcus Jenkins provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Franklin. The connection went for 69 yards, the longest such play in 4A/3A Conference 1 this season.

A.C. Reynolds took down Owen 52-13 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Roberson's dynamic duo of Pinner and Jenkins proved to be unstoppable against the Panthers, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Pinner threw for 428 yards and 4 touchdowns and Jenkins had 157 yards receiving. Zach Dollinger helped Roberson's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 102 yards.

The Rams' dynamic duo of Pinner and Jenkins proved tough for Franklin to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

He went 28-40 with 2 interceptions.

Jalyn Folston was the best running back in the league this week. In 3 carries, he ran for 28 yards as Asheville lost to Josh Brooks' team. Teammate Travis Lylte added to the ground attack by rushing for 17 yards.

Jenkins was the best receiver in the league this week as Jim Beatty's team lost to the Panthers.

Pinner put up the best numbers through the air as the Rams fell to Franklin.

Leading 4A/3A Conference 1 in both passing and receiving yards, Roberson's Pinner and Jenkins have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-4 quarterback Pinner has thrown for 835 yards this season, while Jenkins has 15 catches for 275 yards. The Rockets' Jave Jones leads the league in rushing yards with 237.

North Buncombe made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 12,375 from 12,506. The improvement came about via a 46-28 victory over the Black Hawks last week.
