Basketball Game Preview: Jasper Eagles vs. Greenfield Wildcats

Jasper is 2-8 against Greenfield since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Jasper Eagles will host the Greenfield Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Greenfield took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Jasper, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Jasper turned things around against Archie on Tuesday. They skirted past the Whirlwinds 53-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted against the Whirlwinds since January 15, 2019.

Meanwhile, Greenfield was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 68-64 to Liberal. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Jasper's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-11. As for Greenfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Jasper came up short against Greenfield in their previous meeting last Tuesday, falling 64-56. Can Jasper avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
