Volleyball Recap: Mt. Carmel Comes Up Short

Mt. Carmel was the 2-0 winner over Richland County when they last played one another on October 2nd, but their luck changed this time around. The Golden Aces fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Golden Aces have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Maycee Randall paced Mt. Carmel's offense, picking up seven kills. Randall got some help from Mattie Armstrong and her nine assists. Randall also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lyla Keepes, each putting up two.

Mt. Carmel now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Richland County, the victory snapped their losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 5-18 record.

Mt. Carmel wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Norris City-Omaha-Enfield on the 18th. As for Richland County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Charleston on the 18th.
