Soccer Game Preview: Gilbert vs. North Augusta

The Gilbert Indians will head out on the road to face off against the North Augusta Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Gilbert came up short against Midland Valley on Thursday, falling 4-1.

Gilbert's goal came courtesy of Felixs Sanchez, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Augusta). Their defense stepped up to hand Airport an 8-0 shutout on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

North Augusta has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those five contests. Gilbert's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2-2.

Gilbert might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from North Augusta when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can Gilbert avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
