Baseball Recap: Newman Takes a Loss

Newman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 4-1 to the Slidell Tigers. If the Greenies were looking for revenge after losing 11-5 to the Tigers when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Newman's record is now 9-11. As for Slidell, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newman will take on Archbishop Hannan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Hahnville will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Slidell surely won't give up without a fight.
