Basketball Recap: Noxon Red Devils vs. Two Eagle River Eagles
This season hasn't been kind to the Noxon Red Devils, who are still winless after their sixth matchup. They fell 50-41 to Two Eagle River on Friday. Noxon was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Dayani Piapot was a one-man wrecking crew for Two Eagle River as she scored 21 points along with eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Piapot has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Keke Tenas, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
Noxon's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Two Eagle River, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-11.
Noxon will challenge the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Montana (Two Eagle River is ranked 157th, while the Red Devils are ranked 162nd). As for Two Eagle River, they will be playing at home against the Red Devils at 7:00 p.m.
