Basketball Recap: West Noble Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Allison Recendiz and Elyse Mead

West Noble was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 44-22 to the Garrett Railroaders. The Chargers were probably out for revenge after losing 43-28 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, West Noble had strong showings from Elyse Mead, who posted eight points and four steals, and Allison Recendiz, who put up six points.

West Noble's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Garrett, they moved to 4-17 with that victory, which also ended their ten-game losing streak.

West Noble and Garrett could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. West Noble (ranked 318th) will meet East Noble (ranked 95th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Garrett will square off against Fremont at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 179 places (299 vs. 120).
