Baseball Game Preview: Wood Memorial Trojans vs. Evansville Christian Eagles

Wood Memorial hasn't had much luck against Evansville Christian recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Trojans will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m.

Wood Memorial is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Eastern Greene on Friday. They came up short against the Thunderbirds, falling 12-2.

Wood Memorial saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Houston Schoonover, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Evansville Christian never let their opponents score on Friday. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over Bloomfield. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Wood Memorial now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Evansville Christian, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Wood Memorial might still be hurting after the 11-3 defeat they got from Evansville Christian in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
