Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Bloomfield). They put the hurt on the Hermann Bearcats with a sharp 17-2 victory on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Avarie Edwards made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. What's more, she also racked up five strikeouts, the mostshe's had since back in October of 2023. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, New Bloomfield got a massive performance out of Rylee Ellsworth, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Ellsworth a new career-high in OBP. Myah Briggs was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with a home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, New Bloomfield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hermann only posted a batting average of .333.

New Bloomfield's victory bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Hermann, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-11.

New Bloomfield will square off against Fatima at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hermann has already played their next match, a 7-3 loss against Van-Far on the 9th.
