Softball Recap: Cooper Comes Up Short

Cooper had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 8-3 to Quitman on Thursday. If Cooper was looking for revenge after losing 13-1 to Quitman when the teams met back in March of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cooper got a big performance out of Jentry Nabors, who got on base in both of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Alyssa McCarty was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run.

Quitman's record now sits at 2-4.

Looking ahead, Cooper will be taking part in a tournament against Rivercrest at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Quitman, they will head out to take on Commerce at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
