Soccer Game Preview: Burbank vs. Fox Tech

The Burbank Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Fox Tech Buffaloes at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Burbank has three straight victories, Fox Tech has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Burbank is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They were the clear victor by an 11-0 margin over Sam Houston on Tuesday. Samuel Olguin was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Burbank used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Sam Houston. Three players hit the pitch for the first time this season: Olguin, Gael Hernandez, and Jordan Avila. The pair took full advantage of the opportunity: Olguin scored three goals, while he scored a goal.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Fox Tech was not quite Highlands' equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Owls by a score of 1-0.

Burbank's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Fox Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.
