Baseball Recap: Century's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Century came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Mankato West Scarlets, falling 14-5. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Scarlets: they've now lost eight in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Century fell to 3-1. As for Mankato West, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Century will host Owatonna at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Huskies have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Mankato West, they will be playing at home against John Marshall at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Scarlets are facing the Rockets at the right time seeing as the Rockets are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
