Basketball Recap: Canton Takes a Loss

If Canton was riding high fresh off their 70-23 takedown of Knoxville last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The matchup between the Canton Little Giants and the Macomb Bombers didn't end well, with the Canton Little Giants falling 46-32. While losing is never fun, the Little Giants can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 506th, while the Bombers are ranked 152nd).

Canton has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Macomb, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canton will square off against Delavan at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Macomb, they will face off against Abingdon/Avon at 4:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
