The Mica Mountain Thunderbolts will challenge the Salpointe Catholic Lancers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mica Mountain is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
Salpointe Catholic will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Mica Mountain extended their winning streak to three on Monday. The Thunderbolts were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over Sahuaro.

Ryan McCammond tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Mica Mountain is 4-2 when he allows at most two walks, but 6-8-1 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Raydon Rocha was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Mikey Tanori, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI.
Mica Mountain kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Salpointe Catholic didn't have quite enough to beat North Cobb Christian on Thursday and fell 5-4.
Paul Saffer and Dane White did some serious damage despite the final result: Saffer went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, while White went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. White has been hot recently, having posted at least one triple the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Johnny Abramian, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Salpointe Catholic has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-3-1 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Mica Mountain, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-10-1.
