Football Preview: Schuyler County Rams vs. Knox County Eagles

The Schuyler County Rams will face off against the Knox County Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Schuyler County will be strutting in after a victory while Knox County will be coming in after a defeat.

Schuyler County is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their contest on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 60-28 win over Keytesville.

Elliot Sevits continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 197 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his eighth straight game with at least 102 rushing yards dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Weaver, who rushed for 45 yards and three touchdowns.

He was just one part of a punishing run game: Schuyler County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 348 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Keytesville only rushed for 117.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Schuyler County's defense and their five sacks. Keytesville's QB won't forget Gus Williams anytime soon given he sacked him 3.5 times.

Meanwhile, Knox County was not able to break out of their rough patch last Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 52-28 to Bishop LeBlond. While losing is never fun, Knox County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Bishop LeBlond is ranked fourth).

The victory got Schuyler County back to even at 2-2. As for Knox County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
