Volleyball Game Preview: Montini Catholic Broncos vs. Nazareth Academy Roadrunners

The Montini Catholic Broncos will face off against the Nazareth Academy Roadrunners at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Montini Catholic will be strutting in after a win while Nazareth Academy will be coming in after a loss.

Montini Catholic is headed into the game having just posted their closest victory since April 13, 2024 two weeks ago. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Kankakee 2-1.

Meanwhile, Nazareth Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to Saint Ignatius College Prep.

Nazareth Academy may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 13 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-13.

Nazareth Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Montini Catholic, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1.

Montini Catholic couldn't quite get it done against Nazareth Academy when the teams last played back in March of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Broncos avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
