Basketball Recap: Winfield Comes Up Short

Winfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 39-30 to the Augusta Orioles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Orioles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 40-30 back in December of 2024.

Winfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15-1. As for Augusta, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winfield will venture away from home to take on Mulvane on Friday. As for Augusta, they will face off against McPherson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
