For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Union County and Evansville Harrison have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Braves came out on top in a nail-biter against the Warriors, sneaking past 4-3. The victory continues a trend for the Braves in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.

Coltin Capps spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Tate Nobles was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. He also scored a run, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Noah Burgess, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Union County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Evansville Harrison only posted an OBP of .207.

Union County's win bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Evansville Harrison, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Union County will face off against Gallatin County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Evansville Harrison, they will welcome Evansville Memorial at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
