Basketball Recap: Red Bluff Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Red Bluff, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Shasta Wolves 64-61. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Kayden Leaf had an outrageously good game as he posted 25 points. Another player making a difference was Bryce Owens, who went 5 of 9 en route to 13 points and seven rebounds.

Red Bluff's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Shasta, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Red Bluff has already played their next matchup (against Yreka), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Shasta will be playing at home against Eureka at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
