Basketball Recap: Concord Comes Up Short

Concord was the 71-68 winner over Glasgow when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Concord Raiders took a 52-37 bruising from the Glasgow Dragons on Tuesday. While the Raiders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Dragons 13-8 in the first quarter.

It was another big night for Jahsir Robertson, who went 7 of 9 en route to 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals for Glasgow. With that strong performance, Robertson is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Emanuel Harris, who posted ten points and seven boards.

This is the second loss in a row for Concord and nudges their season record down to 1-9. As for Glasgow, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Concord will take on Mount Pleasant at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Concord is facing Mount Pleasant at the right time seeing as Mount Pleasant is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Glasgow has already played their next matchup (against Newark), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
