It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Pinecrest Prep had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Colonial Christian Patriots an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Crocs', who have now won 15 contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Colonial Christian from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Daniel Yanes led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by himself.

The win keeps them at an undefeated 16-0-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four matches. As for Colonial Christian, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Pinecrest Prep will face off against Archimedean at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Pinecrest Prep's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Archimedean's offense will have their work cut out for them. Colonial Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
