Abingdon waltzed into their contest on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Gate City Blue Devils as they made off with a 14-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Abingdon's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Gate City, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

Abingdon will venture away from home to square off against Lebanon at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Gate City will be paying especially close attention to the Falcons' contest: after the Falcons face off against Central Wise, they'll take on Gate City again at 6:00 p.m. on the 13th.
