Springfield had won two straight games and Alex Caldwell did his part to make it three on Friday. The Tigers came out on top against the Western Reserve Blue Devils by a score of 17-6 thanks in part to Caldwell, who rushed for 118 yards and two scores. Springfield is undefeated when Caldwell posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
Despite the loss, Western Reserve saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Timmy Serensky rushed for 92 yards and one touchdown.
