Football Recap: Chattahoochee County Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Chattahoochee County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 27-6 to the Mt. Zion Eagles on Friday. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 34-0 to the Eagles when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Rashad Montgomery went supernova For Mt. Zion., rushing for 139 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries.

Chattahoochee County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 42-6 defeat against Seminole County on the 22nd. As for Mt. Zion, they have also already played their next game, a 49-0 win against Ranburne on the 22nd.
