Volleyball Recap: Eureka Comes Up Short

Eureka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Caney Valley Bullpups. If the Tornadoes were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Bullpups when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-16.

Eureka's offense was headlined by Madelyn Miller and Ellianna Coulter, who picked up two kills apiece. They were helped by Alaina Westerman and Raylee Boles, who contributed two assists each. Miller was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Eureka's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Caney Valley, they pushed their record up to 18-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Eureka wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Iola on the 2nd. As for Caney Valley, after both having extra time off, they and Neodesha will shake off the rust and duke it out on Tuesday.
