Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kinslee Kern and Kendyl Hirschfeld Lead York to Victory

York hadn't done well against Seward recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Dukes won by a set and slipped past the Bluejays 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Dukes sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

York was led to victory by Kendyl Hirschfeld and Kinslee Kern. Hirschfeld had seven digs and one assist, while Kern hit 77.8% for seven kills and 27 assists and five digs. That's the most digs Hirschfeld has posted over her last six matches.

York's win bumped their record up to 14-15. As for Seward, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-12.

York didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Northwest on the 18th. As for Seward, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Aurora on the 18th.
