Cascade waltzed into their contest  on Saturday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They walked away with  a   5-1  victory over the Decatur Central Hawks. For the Cadets, this counts as revenge for the   6-4 win the Hawks walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in May of 2022.
 Davis Hart spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in seven consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Toby Savini, who  went 3-for-4 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.  TJ Turner was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double.
Cascade pushed their record up to 14-3 with the  victory, which was their tenth straight  at home dating back to last season. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Decatur Central, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.
 Looking ahead, Cascade will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Mooresville  at 5:30  p.m. As for Decatur Central, they will head out to  challenge Franklin Community  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
