Hawkins waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over the Fruitvale Bobcats. Considering the Hawks have won 14 matches by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Hawkins let Paxton Metcalf and Brayden Givens run wild. Metcalf went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Givens went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those three runs gave Givens a new career-high. Trevin Tanner was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Hawkins always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .621. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .511 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Hawkins' victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-7-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Fruitvale, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
