Bear Creek is a perfect 6-0 against D'Evelyn since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Bears will venture away from home to square off against the Jaguars at 11:00 a.m. Bear Creek is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Bear Creek is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Douglas County, who was ranked fifth at the time (Bear Creek was ranked 22nd). The Bears came up short against the Huskies on Thursday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bears have suffered since March 6th.

While Bear Creek ultimately came up short, they really made Douglas County work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-23, 25-17.

Meanwhile, D'Evelyn lost 3-0 to Littleton Public Schools on Friday. The game marked the first time this season in which the Jaguars were not able to get on the board.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-13, 25-11.

Bear Creek's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for D'Evelyn, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 9-1.

Bear Creek took their win against D'Evelyn in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Jaguars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
