Baseball Recap: Portland Christian Comes Up Short

Portland Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clatskanie Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, with their most recent loss being a 8-2 defeat on Friday.

Jack Mazurowski was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one run and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Portland Christian's success: when he posts at least three hits the team is 2-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't). Donovan Endres was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Portland Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Clatskanie, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
