Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Scottsdale Preparatory Academy). They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Madison Highland Prep Heat on Thursday, sneaking past 66-64. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Heat, too.

When it comes to explaining why Madison Highland Prep lost, don't look at Jaycob Young. Despite the final result, he went 7 of 8 from beyond the arc en route to 31 points and five boards. Those 31 points gave Young a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Marsh, who posted five points in addition to ten assists and five steals.

Scottsdale Preparatory Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Madison Highland Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.

Scottsdale Preparatory Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 66-31 win against Trivium Prep on the 18th. As for Madison Highland Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 84-56 victory against Red Rock on the 17th.
