Football Game Preview: Palmyra Panthers vs. Monroe City Panthers

Palmyra will challenge Monroe City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Palmyra is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing North Callaway: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Panthers blew the Thunderbirds out of the water with a 50-12 final score. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Panthers had established a 30-point advantage.

Meanwhile, Monroe City waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They took their game with ease, bagging a 62-0 victory over the Indians. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Indians are ranked 240th).

Monroe City's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Palmyra, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 4-1.
