Softball Game Preview: Howe Bulldogs vs. Blue Ridge Tigers

The Howe Bulldogs will face off against the Blue Ridge Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Howe hasn't scored more than a single run for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Howe lost 18-1 to Bells on Monday.

Howe saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samantha Fuhr, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Blue Ridge and Gunter had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Blue Ridge came up short against Gunter on Tuesday, falling 13-4.

Blue Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Howe, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.

Blue Ridge's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Howe has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.6 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Blue Ridge, though, as they've been averaging only 2.3 strikeouts. Will Howe keep running through batters, or will the Tigers buck the trend?
