Basketball Recap: Rio Lindo Adventist Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Rio Lindo Adventist, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the Pacific Union College Prep Falcons by a score of 35-28 on Wednesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 59-39 back in January.

Rio Lindo Adventist got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jhordany Barcenas out in front who went 5-for-12 to rack up 12 points. Barcenas has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Nate Stephens, who posted eight points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

Rio Lindo Adventist pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.6 points over those games. As for Pacific Union College Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
