Basketball Recap: Ten Straight Home Victories for Banning Lewis Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Banning Lewis Academy). They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat The Colorado Springs School Kodiaks 104-18. Winning may never get old, but the Stallions sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Matthew Lebron was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 19 points and nine steals. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Jones, who went 8 of 9 en route to 19 points and four steals.

Banning Lewis Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as The Colorado Springs School only pulled down five offensive boards.

Banning Lewis Academy's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. As for The Colorado Springs School, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Banning Lewis Academy will take on Windsor Charter Academy in a holiday battle at at 8:00 p.m. on December 20th. One thing working in Windsor Charter Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for The Colorado Springs School, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 58-32 loss against Florence on the 14th.
