Baseball Recap: Zavalla Takes a Loss

Zavalla blew Martinsville out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Martinsville got their revenge. The Eagles fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 12-10.

Colby Cheney was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Curtis, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Zavalla's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Martinsville, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Zavalla wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 14-3 loss against Tournament Opponent on the 5th. As for Martinsville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-5 defeat against Neches on the 6th.
