Basketball Preview: Milan Indians vs. Oldenburg Academy Twisters
The Milan Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Oldenburg Academy Twisters at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Milan came into Thursday's matchup having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 62-56 W over Rising Sun on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, Oldenburg Academy came into Saturday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged Knightstown out 39-36.
Milan's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-13. Oldenburg Academy's record now sits at 6-9.
Milan might still be hurting after the 54-31 loss they got from the Twisters in their previous meeting back in December of 2014. Thankfully for Milan, Matt Moorman (who scored 24 points along with five steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
