Basketball Recap: Westminster Christian Academy Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Westminster Christian Academy had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 26-point drubbing they dealt Bolton Academy on Tuesday. The Chargers blew past the Bears 56-30.

Several Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kerry Simmons, who posted 14 points in addition to six boards and four steals. With that strong performance, Simmons is now averaging an impressive 2.2 blocks per game. Dylan Chatelain also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.2 points over those games. As for Bolton Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westminster Christian Academy will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on V.B. Glencoe Charter at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bolton Academy, they will face off against Oak Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
