Basketball Recap: Campus International Trailblazers vs. East Tech Scarabs
This season hasn't been kind to the Campus International Trailblazers, who are still winless after their 13th contest. They were beaten by East Tech 120-14 on Friday. Campus International was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 86-11.
East Tech's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amani Mitchell, who scored 25 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mitchell has scored all season. Chris Simon was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten steals.
Campus International's loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-13. As for East Tech, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Campus International will square off against the Raptors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Tech, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Mentor knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 contests -- so hopefully the Scarabs like a good challenge.
