Softball Preview: Oakridge Warriors vs. Yoncalla Eagles
Oakridge and Yoncalla are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Oakridge Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Yoncalla Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Oakridge is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 21 runs two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Lowell last Friday. They fell victim to a tough 12-2 loss at the hands of the Devils. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest runs Oakridge has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Yoncalla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lowell. That's two games in a row now that Yoncalla has lost by exactly four runs.
Oakridge has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Yoncalla, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
