Volleyball Recap: Parkland Takes a Loss

After flying high against Ben L. Smith on Monday, Parkland came back down to earth. The Mustangs fell 3-1 to the Statesville Greyhounds on Tuesday.

Dellanie Pinkney-Edwards paced Parkland's offense, picking up six kills. Pinkney-Edwards got some help from Kie'Erra Quincy and her nine assists. Quincy was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 11 aces.

Parkland's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Statesville, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Parkland will head out to square off against Monroe at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Statesville, they will take on Langtree Charter Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
