Softball Game Preview: Barlow Bruins vs. Gresham Gophers

The Barlow Bruins will head out to take on the Gresham Gophers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Barlow's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Gresham's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Barlow turned things around against Nelson on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over Nelson. The Bruins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Gresham posted their closest victory since April 27th on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over Sandy.

Barlow's victory bumped their record up to 16-11. As for Gresham, they now have a winning record of 15-14.

Barlow beat Gresham 6-2 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bruins since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
