Basketball Game Preview: Tree of Life Christian Trojans vs. Grandview Heights Bobcats

The Tree of Life Christian Trojans just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Grandview Heights Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Tree of Life Christian has seven straight wins, Grandview Heights has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Friday, everything went Tree of Life Christian's way against Granville Christian Academy as Tree of Life Christian made off with a 66-43 victory. With the Trojans ahead 36-16 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Grandview Heights lost to Bishop Ready on the road by a 67-49 margin on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 597th, while the Silver Knights are ranked 43rd).

Tree of Life Christian's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.1 points. As for Grandview Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Tree of Life Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Grandview Heights in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, sneaking past 33-30. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tree of Life Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
