Everything went their way against Chaminade-Madonna as Archbishop McCarthy made off with a 15-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Mavericks in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won seven in a row.

Sienna Garcia made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Archbishop McCarthy got a massive performance out of Alexis Nightingale, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Sophia Jimenez, who scored four runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Archbishop McCarthy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .656. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Coral Glades ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Pembroke Pines Charter. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Coral Glades has posted since April 17, 2024.
Addison Schwartzberg spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up nine Ks. Those hits were her first of the season.
On the hitting side, Coral Glades' win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jordin Shurpin, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Archbishop McCarthy's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Coral Glades, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
