Basketball Recap: Southland Academy Gets the Win

Southland Academy lost to Terrell Academy back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Southland Academy Raiders snuck past the Terrell Academy Eagles with a 47-43 victory.

Southland Academy now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Terrell Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

Southland Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Georgia Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Georgia Christian's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while Southland Academy has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road. As for Terrell Academy, they will take on Valwood at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Valwood has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
