Basketball Recap: Loris Victorious

If St. James wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Loris, they should've done a better job of containing Janiya Richburg. The Loris Lions came out on top against the St. James Sharks by a score of 37-26 on Saturday thanks in part to Richburg, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 boards. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last four games she's played.

Loris' record now sits at 7-4. As for St. James, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Loris will take on Lee Central in a tournament on Friday. As for St. James, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 40-38 win against Orangeburg-Wilkinson on the 23rd.
