Basketball Recap: Frewsburg Takes a Loss

Frewsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-41 heartbreaker at the hands of the Westfield Wolverines. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bears of the 57-56 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Frewsburg still got an impressive performance from Jaden Collver, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine rebounds. Trent Lewis was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to six boards and five assists.

Frewsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Coincidentally, Frewsburg and Westfield will both be playing Brocton the next time they take the court. The Wolverines will head out to face the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Bears will host them at 4:00 p.m. on the 29th.
