Baseball Recap: Mohave Accelerated's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

It was a good run, but Mohave Accelerated unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 9-4 to the Parker Broncs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-6 back in March.

Mohave Accelerated saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matt Brennan, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Another was Martin Abundiz, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Mohave Accelerated's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Parker, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mohave Accelerated will challenge Trivium Prep at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Parker, they will square off against ALA - West Foothills at 2:45 p.m. on Friday. The Broncs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Guardians have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season.
